Milestone Achieved: 60,000 Books and Growing Strong

The word "milestone" originates from Roman road markers. These stone pillars were used to indicate distances along the ancient roads. ABC's Central Theological Library has collected some of these "stone pillars". We decided to send duplicate books to Rwanda. A great decision, but less than a milestone. Now, those duplicates are helping churches, schools and theologians to get resources. We selectively give away these books. This week we reached 1,000 books given away. For the last year, we have been processing books for the library – selecting, recording, printing & taping labels and shelving. The milestone reached is 60,000 books on the shelves. This is where my beloved and late great Bible College (Multnomah) was at in its 40th year. A final milestone is filling our classroom for the English students – 50 regular students.

One year ago the library looked like this before remodeling

Once books were moved the first remodel started

Library team who processed over 62,000 books in one year

Christian leaders who received part of the 1,000 books given by Central Theological Library

The start of moving books to make room for the new containers of books

The 5-20 year plan happened in one month because of Agreement between NCM & ABC
